Origin: Zhejiang Province, China and Nandi Highlands, Kenya
Luxury Tencha green tea and Gyokuro leaves that have been shaded under a special shade cover for 3 weeks before plucking. Shading forces the tea leaves to produce more chlorophyll, resulting in the rich green color. High-altitude Western Kenyan tea with 3x the antioxidant value of regular green tea is blended with traditional Japanese-style Izu tea grown in China.
Many high-quality Japanese-style teas are now being grown in China after unfortunate events have threatened contamination of much of the country's teas. Teas grown in China to Japanese standards have been found in all cases to exceed expectations and are in fact sold for export to Japan itself.
Use one-half teaspoon per 8 ounces of water. Whisk in a figure-eight formation.
Care Instructions
Water temperature 180-185.
For long term storage store in a tea tin or an air tight container.
